Top 5 Events You Don’t Want To Miss This Fall

Celebrate Alton

Visiting Caledon in the fall is always a beautiful experience. But on September 17th you can enjoy the fall colors while also attending a once in a lifetime village anniversary festival! This September, Alton Village is celebrating its 200th anniversary jointly with the Royal Canadian Legion Br449 (the only remaining Legion in Caledon) which is celebrating its 75th anniversary. There are many activities (mostly free) planned for the day including live music, walking tours of local historica, classic car roll outs, games for kids, continental breakfast, BBQ lunch, adults only dance with DJ at night, and more. Register on Eventbrite for a 20% on food at the Alton Legion.

Wines of the World

If you are looking for a fancy outing this fall, then be sure to check out the 23rd annual Wines of the World event in Caledon. The Rotary Club of Palgrave is hosting their popular community event again this year at the Caledon Equestrian Centre in Palgrave. This is a ticketed event that welcomes over 800 guests to savour a taste of over 50 wine varieties from across the world, plus craft beer and cider paired with delicious, mouth-watering foods and live music. All proceeds from the event support community programs in Caledon and around the world.

Bolton Fall Fair

Mark your calendars! The Albion and Bolton Agricultural Society is celebrating the 164th anniversary of the Bolton Fall Fair this year. Established in 1858, the Bolton Fall Fair celebrates this community’s rich and unique heritage, history, and diversity. This event has grown from a small-town fair to a full-blown community festival with something for all ages, interests, attracting almost 10,000 attendees to the Bolton Fall Fair in 2019. The fair theme for 2022 is Memories of Bolton Past. After a two-year hiatus, this fair is coming back better than ever with a packed itinerary featuring Live Entertainment, Craft Beer & Cider Festival, Pancake Breakfast, Carnival Rides, Antique Tractor & Equipment Display, Demolition Derby, Power Wheels, Pet Show, & more!

Date: Friday, September 23rd – Sunday, September 25th

Caledon Village Markets

Don’t miss out eating and shopping local this fall! The Caledon Village Market is the perfect place to visit for local fresh produce and quality goods. Located conveniently in the Caledon Village Fairgrounds it’s an easy stop on your Friday drive home or trek to the cottage. Grab a bite from a food truck, some produce from a local market, perennials or annuals to spruce up your yard, or even a bottle of wine to relax with when you get to your destination.

Downey’s PumpkinFest

Let’s be honest, autumn is not complete without a trip to the pumpkin patch. Not only does Downey’s PumpkinFest have an enormous amount of pumpkins, it also has a corn maze, farm animals, wagon rides, live entertainment, puppet shows, straw jump, delicious baked goods, and so much more. This is the perfect event to enjoy in the fall with friends and family!
