5 Summer Events You Don’t Want To Miss

Summer is here and that means more festivals and events to attend! After two years of event cancellations and mostly virtual celebrations, get ready for an action-packed summer here in Caledon. With something to do almost every weekend, these events make for a great way for the community to come together and create memorable experiences. Listed below are the top five events that you do not want to miss. Read and plan your visit!

1.      Bolton Summer Markets

This summer the Bolton Business Improvement Area (BIA) has organized the Bolton Summer Markets, a brand-new initiative that is a unique cross between a farmer’s market and a maker’s market. This market takes place on select Saturdays from June to August. With over 40 participating vendors ranging from florists, candlemakers, artists, and more – there is truly something for everyone.

Dates: June 11th, June 18th, July 9th, July 16th, August 20th, & August 27th, 2022

Time: 9 AM – 1 PM

Location: 45 Willow Street, Bolton (Lower Parking Lot of The Royal Courtyards)

2.      Get Spirited

In 2018, Spirit Tree Estate Cidery hosted their first-ever Get Spirited event. The event included 6 beverage vendors and over 600 people attended. After two years of lockdown, they are excited to host the event again and officially make it an annual thing. The event features over 15 local Ontario craft cider, beer and wine vendors. The event will also have live music and entertainment and food trucks. Please note this is a 19+ and ticketed event.

3.      Celebrate Caledon

This reimagined community event is an opportunity for all to come together and Celebrate Caledon. In partnership with the Town of Caledon and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), this free community event brings together the best of the beloved Caledon Day and TRCA’s Caledon Canada Day events. This is a great event for families, featuring kids’ activities, local vendors, musical acts, fireworks and more. Headlining this year’s Husky Main Stage will be the Juno nominated band Wide Mouth Mason, and feature local Caledon opening acts; Itchy and Scratchy Showband and Vilivant.

Date: July 1st, 2022

Time: 2 PM – 10 PM

4.      Caledon Art Crawl

To celebrate art and support local artists, the Town of Caledon is hosting its first-ever Caledon Art Crawl (follow Visit Caledon on Instagram to learn more). This is a free community event featuring an artist’s popup market, food, live music, and a free arts and craft workshop lead by the Caledon Public Library for attendees. This is a great family-friendly event where people of all ages can find something to enjoy.

Date: August 13th, 2022 (rain date is August 14th)

Time: 11 AM – 5 PM

5.      Taste of Bolton

An event all food lovers will enjoy is the first annual Taste of Bolton. This event takes place on three nights this summer and features delicious eats from local food vendors and performances by talented local musicians. Entry is free and there will also be a cash bar. Presented by Bolton Village Residents Association, Bolton Community Crew, Bolton BIA, Bolton Kinsmen, & Downtown Bolton Task Force.

Dates: June 17th, July 15th, & August 19th, 2022

Time: 6 PM – 10 PM

Location: 18 King Street East, Bolton (Royal Courtyards)
