Sunflowers in Caledon

What better way to end off summer than by visiting a gorgeous sunflower field near you? So, plan your next trip to Caledon with sunflowers in mind! Caledon alone is home to four of the most popular sunflower farms in the GTA. Sunflower season in Caledon ranges from July to early September, with each farm having its own opening and closing times during the season. Learn more about each farm below:

Davis Family Farm

When: July 23rd, 2022  – August 7th, 2022

Where: 15770 Mountainview Rd, Caledon East, ON L7C 2V2

Price: $13.50 (Ages 13+), $5 (Ages 6-12), & Free (Ages 0-5)

Special Features: One of Ontario’s largest sunflower field with over 110 acres of farmland and 3 km of walking trails available for you to explore. Multiple photography setups included throughout the farm such as its famous pink couches, tree swing, and signature piano. You can even book an appointment for commercial or family photography sessions every day after 6 PM. Every weekend, the farm also hosts a Creature Quest featuring exotic animal demonstrations. There are also numerous special events such as Luxury Picnics, Sunflower Yoga, and Paint Nights to look forward to at this farm!



Campbell Cross Farms

When: July 30th, 2022 – August 17th, 2022

Where: 3634 King St, Inglewood, ON L7C 0R5

Price: $15 (Ages 12+), $5 (Ages 5-11), & Free (Ages 0-5)

Special Features: Located on a 60 acres of rolling hills, this farm has over 700,000 blooming sunflowers every summer. They have many props such as their life-size 'LOVE' sign, sunflower swing, rocking chair, ikigai farm sign, and others hidden within the fields that you can use to take the perfect photos. Don't forget to visit their food truck and try out their famous Watermelon Sandwich, signature Watermelon Lemonade, ice cream, and gourmet corn selections while you’re there!


Gill Sunflower Farm

When: July 25th, 2022 – August 21st, 2022

Where: Northeast corner of Healey Rd and Centreville Creek Rd, Caledon, ON L7C 0W9

Price: $10 (Ages 5+) & Free (Ages 0-5 and seniors)

Special Features:  Opening for the first time this year, this is the newest sunflower farm in Caledon. Their farm is pet friendly and they offer fresh cut sunflowers as well as the option to cut your own flowers. They have 8 tractors on site as well as a 1990 Cadillac that visitors can use to get the perfect photo with the sunflower field as the backdrop. This farm also welcomes professional photographers for newly wed photoshoots, music videos, and more!


Downey’s Farm

When: August 5th, 2022 – August 19th, 2022

Where: 13682 Heart Lake Rd, Caledon, ON L7C 2J5

Price: $16 (Ages 2+) & Free (Ages 0-2)

Special Features:  Downey’s is the perfect spot for seeing sunflowers with your kids. This farm’s Sunflower Trail is included in the Farmyard Play Area Admission, so your kids will never have the chance to get bored. The Farmyard Play Area offers over 25 activities for kids such as Farmer’s Mini Golf, Fastball, The Giant Sandbox, Wagon Rides, Farm Animals, and more! The picturesque trail is also great for taking memorable photos with your family.


Dixie Orchards

When: August 14th, 2022 – Undecided closing date

Where: 14309 Dixie Rd, Inglewood, ON L7C 2M8

Price: $13.50 (Ages 10+) & Free (Ages 0-9)

Special Features: This sunflower farm has many fun props and photo opportunities available such as a the life-size wooden photo frame booth, tractors and more! They are always happy to accommodate professional photographers for family portraits, maternity, proposal, or engagement photos with advance booking. Special events such as pop-up artisan markets are worth looking into when planning your visit to this farm. While you’re visiting you can also enjoy the petting zoo, corn mazes, fresh gelato, wagon rides, and more!
