This outdoor session will have you exploring the beautiful grounds of the Alton Mill in search of natural flora such as Queen Ann Lace and Goldenrod as well as cultivated plants and flowers like Hostas, Coneflowers and Black Eyed Susans. Your goal will be to sketch them with an inquisitive “botanical” research approach that captures both the essence and the details of what you are observing, complete with field notes.
Whether you are a gardener, hiker or just a nature lover in general, this session will give you the foundational skills to keep a visual record of nature’s never-ending cycles and seasons. $75 plus HST.
