Belfountain Estates

Take a retreat out to the serene Belfountain Estates, nestled in the Niagara Escarpment. This carbon sink farm focuses on sustainable practices throughout their acres of beauty. Experience the animals alongside rows of lavender and vineyards, surrounded by lush forest. Some of the animals you will see at Belfountain Estates include cows, ducks, chickens, sheep and pigs. Gir Farms

Downey’s Farm 

Searching for the ultimate family-friendly escape? Downey’s Farm is the best place to let your kids run around, play games and see the farm animals. Downey’s is open seasonally during summer, fall, Christmas and Easter time. Inside the gates of the Farmyard Play Area awaits a learning centre, games, wagon rides, and the “Kritter Korral.” At the Kritter Korral you’ll meet chickens, goats, sheep, alpaca, donkey, cows and rabbits. Heatherlea Farm Shoppe is known for their high quality grass-fed meats and other snacks using clean ingredients and local products. GoodLot Farm and Farmstead Brewing Co

Chickens and beer? Trust us…it’s a vibe. Take a trip out to GoodLot Farm and Farmstead Brewing Co this summer. This organic hop farm and solar-powered brewery includes a beer garden, food trucks, themed game nights, live music, fire pits, disc golf, and uh yes..the chickens. Described by GoodLot as “happy chickens strutting around doing their thing,” they’ll walk right under your table and say hello as you enjoy your food and cold brews.
