‍Welcome to the Sugar Shack

Looking for a classic sugar shack experience? Join CVC staff at Terra Cotta Conservation Area on April 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th 2026 for Sap to Syrup: A Maple Syrup Making Experience. Learn how to tap trees, collect sap and use an evaporator to make, bottle and take home your own maple syrup. Reservations are available for morning and afternoon tour times on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Escape for an overnight stay at one of Caledon’s most scenic getaways this spring and experience the Magic of Maple at the Millcroft Inn and Spa. This package includes overnight accommodations, a bottle of The Millcroft’s own maple syrup and two maple-flavoured desserts. The Millcroft is going all-out maple this season and has incorporated maple into cocktails, Headwaters Restaurant menu items and even spa treatments!

‍On Tap

Born in the forest and raised on the farm. The fine folks at Credit Valley Conservation, GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co. and Wilder Climate Solutions have teamed up to produce and release a small-batch Sap Ale in time for spring!

"Tree Hug" is a Maple Sap Beer, crafted with love, serious sustainability standards and respect for Ontario’s forests. Made with maple sap collected from Terra Cotta Conservation Area, this sap ale replaces water with Sugar maple sap and allows the simple act of cracking a cold one to financially support the conservation of a local landscape. Tree Hug is available for purchase at GoodLot's on-farm bottle shop, and all proceeds will be donated to the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation. Look out for this beer to launch in mid-April.

Maple on the Menu

Maple treats are springing up everywhere in Caledon! Visit Gather Cafe for the French Toast Latte, a treat infused with local Maple Syrup and cinnamon. Coffee more your style? Try a Bourbon Barrel Maple Latte from the Bike Shop Café in the sweet village of Inglewood, a decadent Maple Hot Chocolate at Coywolf Coffee (also in Inglewood) or a Maple Scone or Maple Latte from Butter & Cup Coffee Co. in Southfields Village!
